What is the connecting and at the same time destructive power of touch?
TREK is an interdisciplinary performance by seven young artists from Drenthe, who together form Het Nieuwe Goed 2024.

During the performance, the viewer is taken into different perspectives, images and personal fragments based on the theme of 'skin hunger' through music, film, dance and spoken word.

When does physical contact become a valuable gesture? Is it acceptable to ask? What if it is given to you even though you don't actually want it? Can we do without touch? And what if it's missing? During the 45-minute performance, the senses are stimulated, people can sympathize and visitors are challenged to think about what touch means to them.

Artist in residence
TREK is a production in the context of Het Nieuwe Goed, an artist in residence of the Art & Culture Foundation and theater De Tamboer. In recent months, the makers combined theater, music, spoken word and other disciplines to highlight the power and vulnerability of the human touch.
