EXCEPTIONALLY POROUS

I got to show these new works in the shape of sculptural installations and photos in our booth-turned-exhibition named Exceptionally Porous. I had a great time sharing this space and experience with fellow artists Antrianna Moutoula, Dagmar Bosma, Réon Córdova and Tonnie Heijdra. We had a lot of support from our coach Nathalie Hartjes.

These works contain multiple versions of myself. These versions came out of a confusion about who I am and who I am expected to be. I often feel a detachment from the physical world and therefore try to find representation in the tv world. In doing so I try to understand complex things about myself in personal and interpersonal relations. This often results in a distorted view of things, but also a playground for experimenting and self search.
