TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN
2021
Secondhand fabrics and clothing
2 x 185 x 60 cm

While I was impulsively picking out garments, two characters arose. Two Sides of The Same Coins presents a pair of the most typical but also intricate identities: the villain and the hero, the bad and the innocent. Both are humanoids completely made out of people’s discarded clothes. Because of this origin, they have come to resemble the identity of the local area, one identity split in two opposites, which actually do not differ that much from each other. During the exhibition's opening time, at certain moments they will come alive and enjoy a relaxing day in the place of their birth, the Mamamini.

Shown during the exhibition Once Again in One's Hand at the Mamamini Noorderplantsoen from 3 December till 17 December 2021. The two performances took place on the first and lost Friday of the exhibition.
